Luc Lac Vietnamese Kitchen is nothing short of outrageous. Outrageously fresh and vibrant food. Outrageously reasonable prices. Outrageously wild decor and music. And an outrageously original way of seating and serving the mobs of folks who come to eat here.
The restaurant itself seems to be the very distillation of the ethnic and social patchwork quilt of the city that surrounds it — Portland, Oregon.
This is some of the best Vietnamese cooking I have ever had. And Jim and I truly enjoyed talking with the other diners waiting to get a seat inside this in-demand restaurant for a late lunch today.
Both of us agreed that it was the best food we’ve had so far in a city of excellent restaurants — and it was the lowest price of them all.
