Pensacola’s Old Christ Church

Old Christ Church is the anchor of the Historic Pensacola Village. Its plain Norman-Gothic exterior is matched by an interior strongly influenced by the Carpenter Gothic style favored in the lumber-rich Old South.

Finished in 1832 for an Episcopal parish, it is one of Florida’s oldest standing churches and still is used for some religious services, especially weddings.

Our tour took us inside the beautiful old sanctuary today to visit the same place I remember seeing as a small child, when it was used to store records of the City of Pensacola
